Comfort Zone shawl is the antidote to overwhelm. Familiar, relaxing and ultimately soothing. Stitch by stitch, you feel your shoulders drop and the tension ease out. The eyelet square pattern is enjoyable to knit and looks beautiful in any yarn.
This minimalistic triangle shawl lets your yarn be in the spotlight. The pattern is written for fingering weight yarn, but it works great with any yarn weight or yardage. So whichever yarn is calling your name, you can use it to cast on for this one.
Three skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Loft (100% Wool; 251 m / 275 yds per 50 g). Shown in colourway Snowbound.
Or approximately 703 m / 770 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
The pattern includes instructions on how to modify the shawl for any yarn weight and yardage.
The brown shawl is shown with one skein of Handmaiden Fine Yarn Casbah (325 m / 355 yds per 115 g) in Stone.
Size 4 mm / US 6 circular needle. Or size that gives you pattern gauge.
Shawl is worked flat but I recommend using a 100 cm / 40 inch circular needle to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
23 sts and 46 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch, before blocking
178 cm / 70 in (width) x 94 cm / 37 in (depth)
For the pattern version knitted with 3 skeins of Loft.
