Winds of Autumn shawl rectangle shawl pattern from Woolenberry

New rectangle shawl pattern Winds of Autumn is here! This is the third pattern in the 2019 Shawl Club.

Winds of Autumn is a sleek rectangle shawl pattern with chevron and simple lace. Mesh lace blocks and eyelet stripes accentuate the chevron pattern.

And there’s no purling! Only garter stitch, yarn overs, and simple decreases. The pattern plays with right and left slanting lace, and the chevron pattern creates a fun zigzag shape to both ends.

What yarn will you choose for your own rectangle shawl?

You’ll need two skeins (about 584 m / 639 yds) of fingering weight yarn for your Winds of Autumn. I knitted mine with Fyberspates Vivacious 4 ply (100% Merino; 365 m / 399 yds per 100 g) in the Slate colourway.

Or if you want to make an extra warm and cosy winter wrap, you could choose a DK weight yarn. Perhaps something with alpaca?

The pattern has both written and charted instructions.

Winds of Autumn is only available to 2019 Shawl Club members.

If you’re already a member, you have received an email with a link to the pattern. (To access the pattern from Ravelry, remember to update the Shawl Club eBook in your Ravelry library.)

If you’re not a member yet, you can still join!

In addition to Winds of Autumn, you get instant access to the two previously released club shawls, Waiting for Spring and Endless Summer.

The 4th and last 2019 Shawl Club pattern will be out in November!
