On the Road shawl pattern from Woolenberry

On the Road is a versatile and wearable crescent shape shawl.

With eyelets and stripes decorating the garter stitch, this shawl is a fun and effortless knit with beautiful results.

Knitted from the top down with two colours of fingering weight yarn, the hardest part will be choosing your colours. Soft and subtle, or bright and bold… What’s your colour combo?

On the Road begins at the neck with a garter tab cast on. Increases are made on both sides for a crescent shape shawl.

The pattern has both written and charted instructions, so you can use whichever you find easiest to follow.

You’ll need two colours of fingering weight yarn for On the Road shawl. One skein of both colours is enough (304 m / 332 yds of colour 1 and 188 m / 205 yds of colour 2).

For my shawl, I used Lanitium ex Machina Silky BFL Sock (55% wool, 45% silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g), in colours St. Petersburg (C1) and Fe26 (C2).

Which yarn will you choose? Get the On the Road pattern here & cast on!
