Lunar is an asymmetric triangle shawl featuring alternating blocks of simple lace and garter stitch with stockinette ridges. It’s worked diagonally with one colour of sport weight yarn.
You can easily make your Lunar larger by working the pattern repeat until you reach your desired size.
2 skeins of De Rerum Natura Ulysse (100% merino wool; 185 m / 202 yds per 50 g). Shown in colour Ciel.
Or approximately 370 m / 404 yds of similar sport-weight yarn.
Size 4.5 mm / US 7 needles. Or size that gives you pattern gauge.
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using an 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needle to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
18 stitches and 36 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch before blocking
Width: 178 cm / 70 in
Depth: 82 cm / 32 in
kfb: knit to front and back loop of the same stitch
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit two stitches together
sl1k2togpsso: slip one stitch knitwise, knit two stitches together, pass the slipped stitch over
