New: Soft Autumn shawl
The third shawl in the 2021 Shawl Club is inspired by delicate leaves fluttering in beautiful fall colours.
Soft Autumn is a warm and cosy crescent with worsted weight yarn. It has a beautiful all-over chevron lace and an i-cord bind off.
The entire shawl is worked on stockinette stitch, so there’s a lot of purling involved.
But the good news is that it creates a clean canvas for the chevron lace to shine and highlights the subtle texture beautifully. The finished look makes all that purling worth it. Promise!
You’ll need about 604 m / 660 yds of worsted weight yarn for your Soft Autumn.
I knitted mine with 3 skeins of The Fibre Co. Cumbria (90% wool, 10% mohair; 216 m / 236 yds per 100 g) in colourway St. Bees Beach.
The pattern has both written and charted instructions, so you can choose whichever you find easiest to follow.
Soft Autumn is currently only available to the 2021 Shawl Club members. If you’re already a member, you have received an email with a link to the pattern.
If you’re not a member yet, you can still join! In addition to Soft Autumn, you get instant access to the two previously released club shawls, Spring Sparkle and Summer Dreams.
The 4th and last 2021 Shawl Club pattern will be out in December.
