Sneak peek: Comfort Zone shawl

Comfort Zone shawl pattern from Woolenberry

Here’s my finished Comfort Zone shawl. Don’t you just love it? This minimalistic triangle shawl lets the yarn be in the spotlight and makes the shawl easy to wear with many different outfits. And most importantly, I also loved every minute of knitting it!

In fact, I’m planning to cast on for another one. In addition to being extremely comforting to knit, the pattern is also easily adaptable to different yarn weights and yarn amounts.

I knitted my first Comfort Zone with three skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Loft (100% Wool, 251 m / 275 yds per 50 g; I used 703 m / 770 yds for the shawl). For the second one, I’m thinking of using some precious single skein from my stash.

So go have a look at what treasures are waiting in your stash and earmark them for this pattern. You could do one with a treasured fingering weight skein and another one out of cosy worsted weight skeins. Or with something in between. And if Brooklyn Tweed Loft is calling your name, I can definitely recommend it for this pattern.

I want to wish you a very relaxing and wonderful holiday season and happy New Year. I’ll see you in January with the release of Comfort Zone.
